Wedding Expert and Author Sharon Naylor, having heard way too many
stories of unscrupulous wedding experts who took money for gowns they
never planned to order, or replaced the bride and groom’s wished-for
white roses with pink carnations, or who featured photos
on their websites of work that was not theirs to
feature, decided, “It’s time to celebrate the honorable wedding experts.”

Knowing that she wanted to recognize a class of wedding industry
professionals who exemplified the virtue of honor, all that was left
was naming the award. an Emmy-winning Creative Director suggested
Sharon follow the lead of Oprah…
‘Use your name backward: The Norahs,’ he said.

Perfect. And a quick search through a baby-naming website sealed
the deal: ‘Norah’ meant ‘Honor.’
